every third
Saturday of each month at 9:30 am.
We invite you and your family to attend this
celebration of faith and hope

Crosses may be put out in the Cemeteries the end of October.
Our staff will not remove them unless they need access for burial or maintenance.

New Niche Spaces Available in Holy Cross
Mausoleum
|
To
meet the demand for indoor niches for the burial of cremated remains,
we have a new area for niches in the Mausoleum. This
featured niche area provides a wide selection of niches in a private,
reflective area.
Niches, glazed and closed. can be purchased for the interment of one, two or
up to four cremains. There are new niche features and layouts we have not
offered in the previous phases, that have wide and varied appeal.
This
new area was blessed and dedicated by Archbishop Thomas Collins and is
now open for sales and interments. We would be happy to show you
this new area and provide you with prices and availability. Call the
Holy Cross office at 780 447-2921
Our Lady of Peace
Columbarium
|
Our Lady of Peace,
the newest of the
Archdiocesan Cemeteries is located to serve the present and future needs of
south east Edmonton and surrounding areas. The Cemetery is to be a full feature
cemetery and we are preparing at this time to add a new feature to the existing
property.
A full sized
office and niche mausoleum has been opened in this Cemetery, which added to
the existing facilities, will address all the requests and needs now and in the
future. On March 25, 2007 the building and
all its niches was dedicated and blessed by Msgr. Jack Hamilton in his role of
Administrator of the Archdiocese of Edmonton.
Presently there are facilities for ground burial
of caskets and cremains. There is above ground burial for cremains in
columbariums which offer interment in double or family sized niches. There
is a dedicated area, a Feld of Honour for Veterans and their spouses and an
individual area
for youth and children.
The Cemetery offers both flat lawn level markers
and upright monument options. A niche mausoleum that looks out over the cemetery is now open and
and provides inside burial of cremains in glass and
enclosed niches of bronze and natural stone and marble.
At
this time we have several areas of niches installed that will offer
single, double and family niches. The office will
continue to provide burial assistance to families, the display and sale
of flat markers in bronze and granite and upright monuments in all
sizes.

**Unattended Open Flames**
We
remind visitors to the Cemeteries that open flames of any type are not
allowed. Under most seasonal conditions any uncovered grass can
catch fire from candles and with a bit of wind the whole area is at
risk. Due to the dry conditions over past years
the grass and trees in the Cemeteries are very dry. PLEASE do not leave any candles burning.
Thank You
